Hooray for first blog!

Yayy. so this is my first blog for IMD, SOOOOOOOOOOO i'm going to talk about something IMD-related. Recently i posted a video on my youtube which you can go to by clicking here. The video is a parody video of the song "Halo" by Beyonce. Yes, very interesting, i know. Anywayyyy.....this video is about how twitter is legal stalking. Now, don't get me wrong, i LOVE twitter. It's quite addicting once you start using it. The point of the video is that i've had people tell me that they don't want to get a twitter because it's "legal stalking." However, i disagree because people posts these micro-blogs called "tweets" FOR people to read them. There is a behind the scene's video on how i created it, but i'm just going to briefly tell you how i created it.

Okay, so here we go. I knew i wanted to do a parody of something pop culture. Okay, so i chose twitter. The next step was to pick a song to use as my base for the video. I chose "Halo." So now that i chose my song, i had to re-write to make it a parody. So that took only a few days. Then after that i had to record the song. I used my computer built-in mic which wasn't the best thing i could've done, but it's convenient. I then used Mixcraft Acoustica (which is like GarageBand for windows) to edit the song and add effects and such. So the song itself was done. That WAS NOT the hardest my friends. Next i started filming for it with my green screen, JVC HD camcorder, and my studio lights. I purchased studio lights about a week before i started filming to help with the video. Previously i had been using just a work light, but i was casting too much of a shadow. Studio lights decrease the shadow by being a diffuser because of the type of bulb and the umbrellas on them. Filming took about 2 days because i had to film 2 characters. Next came the most tiring part of all, THE EDITING! Oh my, i took forever. I used Adobe Premiere Pro to do so. And let me just give Adobe a round of applause on this software. The editing took i'm estimated a few weeks because i edited the video a little bit at a time knowing that it would take forever. But i felt very accomplished when i completed this video.

Yes i know, that was not brief. But oh well!
